Gunung Gading National Park Tour

GunungGading National Park located at Lundu area which takes about 1.5 hours from Kuching. The Rafflesia, the world’s largest flower is a parasitic plant can be found in this national park during blooming season. The Rafflesia can grow up to 1 metre in diameter. When in bloom, the flower gives off nasty smell which attracts flies and other insects. It takes 9 months to mature and the flower only last for 4 – 5 days before dying. In order to protect the Raffesia, there is s plank walk built close to where the flower is found. The park guides also take tourists on guided walks for the flower that are blooming deeper in the forest.
