
Semenggoh Orang Utan Tour
Semenggoh Orang Utan Nature Reserve is located within the boundaries which approximately 24km away from Kuching. This nature reserve is set free in a 653 hectare of forest reserve. This reserve was Sarawak’s first forest reserve in 1920 and now serves as a rehabilitation centre mainly for orang utans and other animals. Abandoned or injured Orang utans are rescued from the wild, rehabilitated then released back to the forest when they are deemed fit to survive on their own. Upon arrival, guide will bring you to the briefing area for a brief talk by park rangers. Next, take a short walk along the trail to the feeding area to see the Orang Utan come down from the trees for the free meal during their daily feeding time.
